Sherman of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington. Chairman Bill Huizenga, R-Mich., told Fox News Digital that adversarial nations use influencers such as Hasan Piker as proxies. Lyman's posted testimony argued that CCP-aligned U.S. networks, including groups tied to Shanghai-based donor Neville Roy Singham, are running a campaign against American AI. CodePink co-founder Medea Benjamin and two others entered the room in Iran- and Cuba-themed shirts and were escorted out. Score the title, date, witness list, and published testimony as documented. ## Analysis

The last two active briefs covered a China-funded Lancang-Mekong Zero Fake News awards night and a U.S. commercial creator shop, Drumbeat Labs. Rotation this cycle is a U.S. congressional and party-adjacent frame, not another foreign desk and not another NGO production line already mapped on 17 September.

The official committee page is the primary. Title, date, room, and four named witnesses are not in dispute. Huizenga's pre-hearing line, carried by Fox News Digital, named China, Russia, and Cuba and offered Hasan Piker as a proxy example. Lyman's 15 September written testimony, posted by his institute, is also a primary. It opens with a superpower war for AI supremacy and then stacks three vectors: Chinese English-language organs, U.S. nonprofits supported by Singham, and the Party for Socialism and Liberation. It cites OpenAI's June 2026 disruption of a China-based ChatGPT campaign on data-center costs and X's August disclosure of a large suspected-fake-account set that included anti-data-center posts. Those platform reports can be read on their own. What the hearing title does with them is the method under watch.

Semantic-hijack is load-bearing. Trojan horse is a war word. It converts a checkable claim, that some U.S. groups take money from a Shanghai-resident donor and rhyme with Beijing talking points, into a claim that the groups are a hidden army inside the walls. Name-calling rides the same noun. Once the shirt or the streamer is the horse, evidence about a particular grant or slogan becomes optional decoration. Card-stacking is the witness and adversary list. China, Iran, and Cuba are on the marquee. Israel-funded U.S. contractor chains already in this vault are not. A fourth witness from CREW is on the notice; the viral package is the three think-tank statements plus the ejection clip. Testimonial is the witness mastheads, Heritage, Jamestown, the Bitcoin Policy Institute and CREW, doing warrant work. Transfer is the committee room and national-security setting lending authority to the witnesses' claims.

CodePink's shirt action is a method too. Entering the frame in Iran- and Cuba-branded clothing turns a hearing about hidden access into a visible costume. That is transfer and outrage-bait from the other side of the table. It does not prove the horse metaphor and it does not erase Singham-flow reporting already scored in the 17 September Hands Off Asia brief. Keep the objects apart.

This is propaganda on the method test where origin is a majority subcommittee plus aligned witnesses, form is an oversight hearing, and the effect is that activism with a contested donor trail reads as covert entry. Hearings can also be oversight. The method under watch is a title that can substitute for checking. A same-method test applies in reverse. A minority hearing titled Trojan Horses that treated Clock Tower X, Hanover Institute pages, or MAGA Inc. ad reservations as secret foreign infantry would be this brief with the flags swapped. Score Huizenga's proxy sentence and Lyman's CCP-aligned network sentence as advocacy built on some records. Score a tasked-officer finding against Piker or Benjamin as not shown in the open file.
