# 1966: Một năm tiến bộ (1966: A Year of Progress)

A photo-and-text sheet headlined '1966: A Year of Progress' lists Long An province's public works for the year: 60 classrooms, 27,000 metres of road and bridges, fish ponds and markets, 690 pigs and 3,200 chickens issued to farmers, and about 100 self-help projects. Each red text block pairs a figure with a photograph of schoolchildren, road-building villagers, a pig pen or a market. The tell: a one-sided ledger of completed projects, with the Viet Cong named only as an obstacle to them.

The construction work includes thousands of metres of road repaired, bridges and landing stages built, many classrooms and fish ponds completed, and many farmers issued breeding livestock such as pigs and chickens.
