# 85 Million Americans Hold War Bonds

A hand clutches crumpled $100 bonds in the foreground while the Statue of Liberty's torch glows against a night sky; the headline states that 85 million Americans hold war bonds. The technique is bandwagon (a stated majority already holds bonds) with transfer from the national monument to the purchase.
