A photo-sheet (code SP-1344) says soldiers of the 2nd Regiment of the Republic of Korea Marine Corps shared part of their reserve rations with hundreds of villagers in Phuoc-Binh hamlet, Hieu-Xuong district, Phu Yen province. Photographs show a Korean major general and a Vietnamese officer handing out cooking oil, a child with a tin and villagers carrying sacks. Trong một cử chỉ thân hữu, binh sĩ của Trung Đoàn 2 Thủy Quân Lục Chiến Đại-Hàn đã dành một phần trong số lương thực dự trữ của họ để phân phát cho hàng trăm dân chúng ở ấp Phước-Bình, quận Hiếu-Xương, tỉnh Phú-Yên.
Đây là một cử chỉ tượng trưng cho sự giúp đỡ của các lực lượng Chính Phủ Việt-Nam Cộng-Hoà và Đồng-Minh đối với dân chúng. Ngoài sự bảo vệ an ninh để dân chúng gặt hái mùa màng và đánh đuổi bọn Cộng-Sản xâm lăng, sự giúp đỡ bao gồm cả hành động cứu trợ cấp thời như phân phát thực phẩm.

Thiếu Tướng Tư Lệnh Đại-Hàn Lee Bong Chool và một sĩ quan Việt-Nam trao tặng dầu ăn cho nông dân ấp Phước-Bình.

Em này vui vẻ nhận phần lương thực để mang về cho gia đình.

A TRULY FRIENDLY GESTURE

In a friendly gesture, soldiers of the 2nd Regiment of the Republic of Korea Marine Corps set aside part of their reserve rations to distribute to hundreds of people in Phuoc-Binh hamlet, Hieu-Xuong district, Phu-Yen province.
