# Abraham's dream!--Coming events cast their shadows before

Currier & Ives lithograph, probably drawn by Louis Maurer, hostile to Lincoln. Lincoln sleeps under a star-spangled sheet and dreams of Columbia (Liberty), holding aloft a severed Black head, kicking him out of the White House as McClellan walks in with his valise. Lincoln flees in the Scotch cap and cloak of the 1861 Baltimore story, carrying a scroll marked 'To whom it may concern' and saying 'This don't remind me of any joke!!'.
