# Coalition leaflet quoting President Karzai on defending the homeland (Afghanistan, c. 2006-2007)

Pashto leaflet carrying two quotations attributed to President Hamid Karzai, one on each side. The front says that defending the homeland and eliminating terrorism would be impossible without the reader's cooperation; the back says it is dishonourable not to defend it and that Afghanistan is famous for bravery, not dishonour. The tell is the borrowed voice: a foreign-run leaflet puts its request in the mouth of the national leader and appeals to honour.
