# Atoms for Peace poster, page 1: Eisenhower pledge (English-text poster, distribution post not stated)

A blue sheet with a drawn portrait of a man at left, the words ATOMS FOR PEACE in large capitals, and a laurel-wreathed atom symbol. Printed beneath the portrait is a quotation attributed to President Eisenhower's 8 December 1953 address to the UN General Assembly, pledging U.S. effort so that human inventiveness is 'consecrated to his life'. The tell is testimonial, the President's own words, with glittering generalities ('peace', 'life').
