# August Variety Stores Stamp-ede for Victory

Point-of-sale display strip, rounded at both ends and printed twice, once inverted so it reads from either side: 'August Variety Stores STAMP-EDE for Victory' on red above 'Save the easy way. Buy War Savings Stamps'. The pun on 'stampede' suggests a crowd all buying together (bandwagon); the technique is faint and the sheet is mostly a slogan.
