# Golden equestrian statue of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on a white-marble cliff, Ashgabat

Photograph of a gilded statue of a man in a long coat and cap seated on a rearing horse, raising one hand, atop a faceted white-marble cliff on a low marble platform with a metal fence, in a traffic roundabout beside white apartment blocks. A small plaque on the cliff carries a title in Turkmen. The statue joins the president's person to the Akhal-Teke horse, a national symbol, and to the white marble of the capital.
