# A Seasonal Proclamation

A colonial-style town crier in a tricorn hat holds up a scroll reading 'Be It Known!!!' that conveys a Merry Christmas greeting from the Evening Star's sports staff, signed with thirteen names including Jim Berryman, beside a sign reading 'Ye Olde Second Guesser'. The tell is plain-folks: an informal, humorous in-house voice addressing readers directly; it is a weak fit, as the item is a holiday greeting rather than persuasion.
