# Getting the Boot

A stout figure in a Fascist-style uniform with a swastika armband, dazed and with stars circling his head, is blown or kicked off the map of Italy, labelled ITALY, which is drawn in boot shape; his cape streams behind and his boot soles are visible. The tell is ridicule by caricature: the figure is shown as comic and defeated rather than described, and the pun on 'the boot' carries the message.
