# Nearing the End (multi-panel convention sketches)

A multi-panel page of convention sketches signed 'Jim Berryman, Phila., Pa.': delegates carrying state placards for Roosevelt, a caricatured figure labelled 'Topsy' with a beer mug, a man labelled 'The V.P.' carrying a bag into a 'Texas Welcomes You' headquarters, and a dazed man on a 'We Want Al Smith' sign. The slogan-carrying crowd is the nearest technique fit (bandwagon, weak): the cartoon records the display of support rather than itself urging it.
