# Blaine O'Maine

Puck centerfold by Joseph Keppler, 23 April 1884: James G. Blaine runs through a swamp after a firefly labelled 'Presidency' that thumbs its nose at him, leaving behind pages of a 'Bad Political Record' that run from 'Early Life in Pennsylvania' to 'Becoming a Yankee', 'Selling Agent of Little-Rock Bonds' and 'Secretary of State', with 'Mulligan Letters' across them. The firefly casts Blaine's shadow as a hag.
