Berlin, 21. Aug. Unter Führung des Kronprinzen von Bayern haben Truppen aller deutschen Stämme gestern in Schlachten zwischen Metz und den Vogesen einen großen Sieg erkämpft. Der mit starker Kraft vordringende Feind wurde auf der ganzen Linie unter schweren Verlusten geworfen. Viele Tausende Gefangene wurden gemacht und dem Feind zahlreiche Geschütze abgenommen. Der Gesamterfolg ist noch nicht zu übersehen, da das Schlachtfeld größer ist wie bei der größten Schlacht von 1870/71. Unsere Truppen verfolgen den Feind auch noch heute. The enemy, advancing with great force, was thrown back along the whole line with heavy losses. Many thousands of prisoners were taken and numerous guns captured from the enemy.
