# Don't Evacuate Your Fighting Dollars (Generally Speaking...)

A cartoon shows a caricatured officer in a bicorne hat, with dollar signs on his clothes, snatching banknotes back through a bank wicket while saying 'Gimme back...' and 'Well... I want to buy a kiddy-car'. The tell is the transfer of military rank to saving: withdrawing a war savings account is called 'poor generalship', and the foot line names War Savings Certificates.
