# Use These Ideas to Make Your Stamp Drive a Success

A landscape trade sheet of eight numbered boxes of merchandising ideas for pharmacists selling War Savings Stamps, including a stamp booth, stamps packed in capsules as 'Vitamin V', a parade with Scouts and the Salvation Army, and a lucky-number draw. This is a sales-instruction sheet rather than a public poster; the closest fit is transfer, where the health-product name 'Vitamin V' and civic groups lend standing to stamp sales.

USE THESE IDEAS TO MAKE YOUR STAMP DRIVE A SUCCESS
The following merchandising ideas are submitted to the Druggists of Canada to help formulate their own plans to increase the sales of War Savings Stamps during the September Druggists' Drive-the ideas have been tested, and they will BRING RESULTS.
1 MAKE A STAMP BOOTH: Arrange a War Savings Stamp Booth or special section of your Counter and have in attendance by shifts, your wife, daughter, or lady clerk, or representatives from a Ladies Auxiliary, Church, or similiar organization.
2 BOOST VITAMIN "V" SALES: A splendid merchandising idea is to pack a War Savings Stamp in an individual 000 capsule and show your customers this capsule when an enquiry is made for an explanation of what is Vitamin "V".
3 DISPLAY VITAMIN "V": Display a quantity of 000 Capsules filled with individual stamps in a transparent container or specimen jar on your serving counter.
4 AROUSE THEIR CURIOSITY: Pack 000 capsules with stamps in several test tubes and suspend the tubes on a string from the ceiling so that they will be at eye-level between you and your customer at the serving counter. The idea is to arouse customer's interest so they will enquire the purpose of the display.
5 TALK ABOUT YOUR STAMP DRIVE: If you are a member of a Service Club, such as Rotary, Kiwanis, Ladies organizations, Boy Scout Troops, etc., appeal to the executive for permission to speak to the Club at a regular meeting, appealing for the membership's co-operation in buying theirs, and their families' stamps from the local drug store.
6 PLAN A PARADE: A number of druggists, particularly in smaller towns, are promoting a "Buy War Savings Stamp" parade in conjunction with Boy Scout, Girl Guide Troops, Service organizations, together with Salvation Army and other musical bands.
7 YOUR "LUCKY NUMBER" CARD: In conjunction with the "Lucky Number" Card which you will receive shortly, many druggists are adopting the idea of having the draw at a specific hour in their store, the drawing of the Lucky Ticket to be made by a local citizen of prominence-why not work out your own plan in this respect with a view to having the greatest number of people in your store at the most logical time.
8 DISPLAY! DISPLAY! DISPLAY!: The point of sale and window display material which is enclosed herewith has been prepared to do a selling job, and it will not accomplish its purpose lying in the back shop or cellar. Display it to full advantage, to exceed your War Savings Stamp quota.
Unfortunately War Savings Stamps are not a demand item by all people. This means that you must do the selling job. Please understand that you will not annoy your customers by repeatedly asking them to take all, or part of their change, in a War Savings Stamp. It is helping them save money for the future!
THIS IS YOUR DRIVE! PUT YOUR PROVINCIAL QUOTA "OVER THE TOP"!
