# CARE milk gift poster, Ceylon (English poster distributed in Colombo)

An English-language poster showing a cuffed hand tipping a milk bottle into a cup that stands on a school slate, over a map of North and South America and a yellow outline of Ceylon. Text reads 'Gift through CARE from the people of the United States to the schoolchildren of Ceylon', with figures of 7000 tons of milk for over 1,250,000 children in more than 6000 schools. The tell is transfer: the hand and map attach the gift to the American people, with the quantities as the evidence.
