# Lewis Cass, Democratic Candidate for President (Currier), 1848

Horizontal Currier print: oval bust portraits of Cass and Butler (in uniform) in oak-leaf wreaths, joined at the centre beneath a small eagle perched on a globe, each topped by a red X-shaped ribbon. Captions name them Democratic candidates for President and Vice President; the tell is the eagle and wreaths used as national symbols around the ticket.
