# Chiến thắng rực rỡ của quân đội ta và Hoa Kỳ tại Chu Lai (Glorious Victory of our Troops and US Forces at Chu-Lai)

A landscape sheet of five photographs, among them a machine-gunner in a field, a dead fighter beside two soldiers, seated prisoners and a medical check-up, reports the 18 August 1965 attack on the Chu Lai area. It gives 563 'Viet Cong' killed out of about 2,000, over 1,000 wounded carried off, others buried in bunkers or captured, and credits help from local people and protection of civilians. Casualty figures and a welfare photograph share one sheet, and the figures are the poster's own.

GLORIOUS VICTORY OF OUR ARMY AND THE AMERICANS at CHU LAI

The Viet Cong's bunkers and human-wave tactics no longer have any value against the army and the modern weapons of the American army now helping us.

The Chu Lai area, Quang Ngai, with the fortified Van Tuong village like a Viet Cong headquarters, was attacked by our army and the Americans on 18-8-1965 just past.

Of the 2,000 troops stationed at Chu Lai, 563 communist troops were killed and an estimated more than 1,000 wounded were carried off by them.

That does not count those buried alive by bombs in the bunkers. A large number were captured alive.

It is thanks to the help of the local people that the army was able to clear out the Viet Cong. The people in the area have been protected and cared for by our army and the Americans.
