# Chiến thắng của Sư đoàn I Kỵ binh Không vận Hoa Kỳ tại Pleime (Victory of the U.S. 1st Air Cavalry Division at Pleime)

A Vietnamese-language poster (code SP-873) presents the November 1965 fighting near Pleime and the Chu Pong massif through photographs of a captured mortar and heavy machine gun, B-52 bombers releasing bombs, and artillery with a Chinook helicopter. The text claims about 1,300 Viet Cong bodies were left on the field and that the battle ended any hope of military victory for the 'Liberation Front'. The tell is the selective use of a single casualty figure and captured Chinese-made weapons as proof of an overall outcome.

VICTORY OF THE U.S. 1ST AIR CAVALRY DIVISION AT PLEIME

The engagement between two North Vietnamese Communist regular-army regiments and about one brigade of the U.S. 1st Cavalry, which lasted 3 days from 14-11 along the slopes and foot of the Chu Pong mountain, about 5 miles from the Cambodian border, ended with about 1,300 Viet Cong bodies left on the battlefield.

In particular, in this battle the American forces seized countless heavy weapons made in Communist China.

No matter how strong the North Vietnamese regular army forces are, they cannot withstand the artillery and the B-52 'flying fortresses' with the terrifying destructive power of the U.S. air force.

The biggest battle so far by U.S. forces in Vietnam has shattered every hope of military victory of the 'Liberation Front'.
