# Chitra Katha photo poster No. 18: Pakistan Navy gets two warships (Bengali photo poster distributed in Dacca)

A Bengali photo sheet headed 'Pakistan Navy gets two modern warships'. Photographs show the former British ships, renamed PNS Badr and PNS Khaibar, with President Iskander Mirza and naval officers aboard, a gun firing, and a U.S. embassy attache pointing out to sea. The text says the two ships were bought from the British navy for 4,480,000 dollars under the U.S. military cooperation programme. The tell is glittering-generalities: the navy's growing strength is tied to freedom and national security.
