# Chitra Katha photo poster No. 8: Texas Tower radar station (Bengali, Dacca)

A Bengali-language photo page for USIS Dacca headed 'Sea Sentinel' about a U.S. Air Force radar and weather station on a tower platform in the Atlantic, about 110 miles off the northeast coast. Photographs show airmen at radio, radar and observation posts and a helicopter on the platform. The tell is plain-folks: named ordinary sergeants and airmen at work present the air-defence system as routine, skilled labour.
