# Chuyến xe đầu tiên khai thông đường Quảng Ngãi-Đức Phổ (The Quang Ngai-Duc Pho Road Is Reopened)

A Vietnamese-language poster (code SP-2024) tells of a convoy of more than 100 vehicles of Republic of Vietnam and allied forces that travelled from Quang Ngai town to Duc Pho on 15 June 1967 carrying supplies to reopen the road. Five photographs show armoured personnel carriers, trucks, a crowd of 2,000 villagers under a banner in English and young women placing garlands on soldiers. The tell is the welcome crowd and garlands offered as public endorsement of the military convoy.

Translation is FRAME's own literal rendering. The English banner lines are partly hidden by the crowd and the cropping of the photograph and are marked [illegible] where unreadable. The small hand-lettered sign on the lead vehicle is not legible enough to transcribe.
