# Trường Cộng Đồng xây dựng nông thôn Việt Nam Cộng Hòa (The Community School Helps to Reconstruct the Countryside of Vietnam)

A Vietnamese-language photo sheet (code SP-1799) tells how a community school in Xóm Lưới hamlet studied local needs, put a road-repair project to the villagers and then had pupils and adults build the path together. Photographs show a boy reading to an old man mending a net, the Phong-Dinh community primary school, a teacher at a blackboard, a villager speaking in a meeting, and pupils laying a path. The sequence runs from need to meeting to finished work and reports no failures.

COMMUNITY SCHOOLS
REBUILD THE COUNTRYSIDE
OF THE REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM

The Phong-Dinh community primary school serves pupils and the people.

Two generations, like family and school, need to understand and cooperate to reach progress for the hamlet community.

After studying the locality, the school put forward a plan to improve hamlet life that the people responded to and joined: the people of Xóm Lưới hamlet wanted to repair their path.

That plan was also the main topic for pupils to study at school so as to help their families carry out the work.

Result: adults and pupils happily built the path for Xóm Lưới together. And how many other health, livestock and farming tasks can be improved through Community Education.
