Ngày 19-4-1966 Đại Tá Tỉnh Trưởng Gia-Định đã đến Xã Đông-Hưng-Tân, Quận Hóc-Môn chủ toạ lễ cấp phát 75 heo giống cho 75 gia-đình nông dân. Đây là đợt đầu trong số 900 heo giống mà Hội Đồng Xây Dựng Nông Thôn Tỉnh Gia Định trù liệu cấp phát trong năm 1966 cho các nông dân thích việc chăn nuôi.

Ngày 26-4-1966, Ông Nguyễn-Thôn-Độ, Phó Tỉnh Trưởng Hành Chánh, Đại Diện Đại Tá Tỉnh Trưởng Gia-Định đã chủ toạ lễ cấp phát 500 gà giống trị giá 46.000 đồng cho 86 gia-đình nghèo tại Xã An-Phú-Đông, Quận Gò-Vấp.
