# La Domenica del Corriere, 27 December 1936, cover: 'Tutti i territori dell'Impero sono occupati' (Rome)

Colour weekly cover. An Italian soldier in a tropical helmet holds a tall tricolour with the Savoy arms aloft while a crowd of Ethiopian men in white and coloured robes raise their arms around him; shields, spears and rifles lie discarded on the ground in the foreground. The printed caption says all territories of the Empire are occupied and that the submitted populations salute the Tricolour. The tell: the conquered are shown disarming themselves and cheering, so military occupation is presented as spontaneous welcome.
