# "打倒王张江姚…" (Down with Wang, Zhang, Jiang, Yao...), wall slogan at Dazhai, Shanxi

Black-on-white characters painted along a brick wall beside a street in Dazhai read 'Down with Wang, Zhang, Jiang, Yao' (the surnames of the four leaders arrested in October 1976), followed by characters partly hidden by a passer-by and a tree, probably the label 'Gang of Four'. Naming individuals by surname plus a collective label for public denunciation is the name-calling tell. A donkey cart and a truck pass in front.
