# Dummy, Dummy...Who's Got the Dummy? (Nasser and Syria)

A figure labelled NASSER, in a military tunic and holding a sign reading DOWN WITH THE WEST, sits on the knee of a larger figure whose armband bears a hammer and sickle, like a ventriloquist's dummy. A bearded figure labelled SYRIA holds a flag reading I HATE THE U.S.A. and a banner reading ME TOO!. The cartoon argues Egypt and Syria are speaking Soviet lines; the technique is name-calling, with hostile slogans attributed to the figures.
