# Ecco i vostri alleati (Here Are Your Allies): British propaganda booklet for Italy

The cover spread of an Italian-language booklet shows Mussolini and Hitler laughing in an open car, with a 50-centesimi Italian stamp image (printed in blue) laid across them, a box 'Tyrants who laugh, peoples who bleed' and the title 'Here are your allies'. The caption box labels Hitler 'the neuropath'; the Italian state's own stamp image is pasted onto the photograph to turn its alliance symbol against it.

## Text on the object

```
ECCO
I VOSTRI
ALLEATI
Tiranni che ridono, popoli che sanguinano
Il sorriso di Hitler rivela la soddisfazione del neuropatico, mentre il suo ex-servo, visibile in ultima pagina, lega l'Italia al destino nazista.
[illegible - ghosted show-through text from the facing page at upper right, beginning "L'a" and "Musso"]
```

English translation (machine translation by Claude, not verified by a fluent reader)

```
HERE
ARE YOUR
ALLIES
Tyrants who laugh, peoples who bleed
Hitler's smile reveals the satisfaction of the neuropath, while his former servant, visible on the last page, ties Italy to the Nazi destiny.
The hyphen in 'ex-servo' falls at a line break in the original. Translation is a literal machine rendering by Claude, not verified by a fluent reader.
