# Epikaira Eikonografimena poster, March 1959 (Greek pictorial poster distributed in Greece)

A Greek-language photo-and-caption wall sheet dated March 1959, headed '1949 1959 NATO: For the consolidation of Peace', for the alliance's tenth anniversary. A compass-rose emblem with member flags, a NATO organisation chart, a production-share bar chart (68%, 61%, 46%, 43%, 67%, 75%), and photographs of the council, Greek soldiers, radar, a B-52 and warships accompany text on Greece's membership. The tell is glittering-generalities ('peace', 'freedom') with fear-appeal in the text recalling the 1947-48 communist takeovers in Eastern Europe, as one-sided card-stacking.
