# Evolution in South Vietnam: Industry

A blue-toned English page headed 'Industry' gives two figures, 700 new factories and 90,000 new jobs, and lists increased output of textiles, paper, plastics, rubber goods, cement and light vehicles. Photographs show a spinning line, a rubber-goods machine, workers assembling frames on a production line and a machine shop. The tell is headline figures with no baseline, period or source, set beside selected factory scenes.
