# Farmers! Uncle Sam asks you to get ready for the census taker

Census notice: Uncle Sam in a star-spangled vest, smiling and writing in a ledger, with rows of tractors and crops behind him, asks farmers to prepare for the census taker in January. The tell is transfer of the Uncle Sam figure's authority to a routine government survey; a closing line states that the reports are confidential.
