# With this Issue I couldn't lose

A smiling man with a cigarette sits at a desk with a nameplate reading 'GOVERNOR', holding a newspaper headed 'FAUBUS WINS IN LANDSLIDE!' in one hand and a rifle with fixed bayonet, its stock marked 'U.S.A.', in the other. The cartoon argues that the governor's election win rested on his confrontation with federal troops; the caricature and the bayonet prop are an example of name-calling by visual association.
