# "The Champions of Freedom" Frémont and Dayton banner (Buffalo, 1856)

Lithographed Republican ticket banner with oval portraits of Frémont and Dayton under an eagle, flags and shield, a small Washington medallion between them, and the title "The Champions of Freedom". The tells: "Freedom" stands in for any stated policy, and Washington and the eagle lend national prestige to the ticket.
