# "…gegen die amerikanischen Kriegsvorbereitungen": banner on a congress hall, Rössing photograph

A long banner across the front of a turreted building ends '…gegen die amerikanischen Kriegsvorbereitungen', with flags above and a 'ZOO' sign on the tower. War is announced as being prepared by one named country, and the viewer is asked to join an alliance against it.

## Text on the object

Original (German) · read from the image, not independently checked

```
[illegible] das Kampfbündnis der internationalen Arbeiterklasse gegen die amerikanischen Kriegsvorbereitungen.
```

English translation (machine translation by Claude, not verified by a fluent reader)

```
[illegible] the fighting alliance of the international working class against the American war preparations.
```

Read from a magnified crop; the opening word(s) at the left end are lost in the building's shadow, and the letters 'Kampfbündnis' are read with moderate confidence.
