# Chiến thắng rực rỡ của Khu Chiến Thuật Tiền Giang (Glorious Victory of Tien-Giang Tactical Zone)

A Vietnamese-language sheet reports that South Vietnamese forces destroyed a Viet Cong base area at Ca Dam in the Dong Thap region and lists what they say was found, seized or destroyed, including 2,020 grenades and 8,000 kg of rice. Photographs show helicopters landing troops, captured machinery, seized munitions and a foundry. A closing panel says the 7th Division's feat shows the Viet Cong can no longer hide in areas it thought safest, a message to both the enemy and the home audience.

GLORIOUS VICTORY
OF THE TIEN GIANG TACTICAL ZONE

THE CA DAM BASE AREA
OF THE VIET CONG
IN THE DONG THAP REGION
DESTROYED

OUR ARMY DISCOVERED: 1 IRON FOUNDRY, 1 GRENADE FACTORY, 1 COMMUNICATIONS CENTRE, 1 MILITARY-POLITICAL SCHOOL, 1 PRINTING FACILITY. – SEIZED countless machines, ammunition and weapons, including 10 TONNES OF PAPER the V.C. used to print leaflets. – DESTROYED 2,020 GRENADES, 8,000 KG OF RICE, 100 KG OF FOOD, 10 HUTS OF THE MILITARY-POLITICAL SCHOOL.

Applying the "Firefly" tactic, helicopters set our fighters down in many places, so that the V.C. did not know how to respond because of the surprise.
Machines the Viet Cong used to make weapons.
Weapons and ammunition seized in great numbers and destroyed...
A number of Bangalore torpedoes seized by us.
Iron foundries destroyed by us.

THE FEAT OF THE 7TH DIVISION HAS SHOWN THAT FROM NOW ON THE VIET CONG CAN NO LONGER HIDE IN THE AREAS THEY CONSIDER SAFEST, SUCH AS THE CA DAM BASE AREA
```
Translation is FRAME's own literal rendering. 'Tạc đạn' is rendered as 'torpedoes' following the adjacent 'Bangalore'; 'lựu đạn' is 'grenades'. 'Cà Dâm' is spelled as printed.
