# Grand Patriotic Rally with Pipe Band of The Canadian Highlanders

A text-only handbill announces a rally at the Washington Irving High School roof garden on Monday, July 16, with a Canadian pipe band, speeches by Job E. Hedges and a Canadian Army colonel just back from the trenches, opera singers and three reels of U.S. Government war pictures. It is billed as the 'coolest spot in town'. The tells are bandwagon (a crowd event under a patriotic banner) and testimonial (the speaker introduced by his front-line experience).
