# Decoration of a Hitler Youth member, March 1945

A man in a long leather coat and peaked cap, identified in published accounts as Joseph Goebbels, shakes the hand of a boy in a Wehrmacht helmet and greatcoat at the head of a rank of soldiers. The archive title names the boy as Hitler Youth member Willi Hübner, receiving a decoration. The handshake, made in front of a camera, attaches the state's military honour to a child's service.
