# I Volunteer to Help Win the War by Producing and Saving Food and Feeds

A text-only gate-post card in red and blue type asks the reader to 'volunteer' to produce and save food and feeds, then says 'Don't be a slacker' and 'Join my company.' The reader is told to see the county agent. The tell is the pairing of an invitation to join a company of volunteers with the label 'slacker' for those who stay out.

The partly visible attached card at the right edge (fragments such as 'readwinner', 'ments for food conservation?', 'dministration wishes to have as men', 'All women over sixteen are eligib') is cut off and not transcribed. The final word of 'Talk With Your County Agents' is partly covered by it.
