# Coalition leaflet "As your family struggles to survive, he lives in splendor" (IZ D050, Iraq 2003)

Arabic leaflet for Iraqi soldiers, dropped in the 2003 invasion. The front says that while your family struggles to survive, he (the ruler) lives in splendor; the back asks who needs you more, your family or the regime, and tells the reader to return to his home and family. The tell is the contrast of the ruler's luxury with the soldier's family, which singles out one man and sets duty to family against duty to the army.
