# Japanese Army uniforms

Identification chart of Japanese Army uniforms: four standing figures, field hat, helmet and tunic, with collar patches for officers and men, branch colours and collar ornaments, all labelled. The technique is faint here: this is a reference sheet for recognising insignia, and only the selection of what to show shapes the picture.

The regtl number is worn on either side of the collar, behind the two collar patches. In the case of a subdivision of a branch of service or of special units, the collar ornament designating the subdivision is worn on the right side, the regtl number on the left.

* In active operations it is the practice to remove all numerical designation of units and all branch identifications.
