# Juche Tower tribute plaques from foreign study groups, Pyongyang (photographed 2018)

A wall of stone plaques in many colours, each inscribed in a different language, fills an interior of the Juche Tower. Legible lines include Juche study groups and friendship societies from Cyprus, Malta, India, the Gambia and Uganda, with dates in the 1970s and early 1980s, and slogans such as 'Long live Kimilsungism'. The tell: manufactured consensus, a wall of foreign endorsements is displayed as evidence of worldwide support for the leader's ideology.
