# Take Your Choice of the Two Bills! (Judge cover, 13 October 1900)

Cover of Judge, 13 October 1900 (vol. 39, no. 991), by Grant Hamilton. Two mock one-dollar notes are stacked: 'Bill McKinley', 'worth 100 cents or one dollar in gold, gold standard', above 'Bill Bryan', 'worth 53 cents only, free silver'. The masthead carries the slogan 'We want no change' between two pails marked 'Four years more of the full dinner pail'. The pairing converts the silver question into a single price comparison and gives each candidate a first-name nickname on a banknote.
