# Kim Il-sung portrait flag pin beside a national flag patch, North Korea (photographed 2007)

A close photograph of dark cloth carrying two items: a small enamel pin in the shape of a waving red flag with the Workers' Party emblem and a round portrait of a man in a suit and tie, and below it a cloth patch of the North Korean national flag. The Commons title names the pin as a Kim Il-sung pin. The tell: transfer, the leader's portrait is set on a flag and worn as a badge, tying his person to the party and the state.
