To raise the living standard of the Kinh and Highlander compatriots of Kontum province, the local authorities are striving to push forward rural construction work. To show Kinh-Highlander solidarity, the Scout groups, Youth Public Service groups and village youth commissioners have lent a hand in rebuilding Dexomai hamlet.

The Commissioner-General for Highlander Affairs talks with Highlander compatriots who are refugees from Communism at Dexomai about the government's approach to building a new society. So far, in Kontum more than 30 thousand Highlander compatriots have left Communism behind to live under the protection of the National Government.
