# Koreans Build Medical and Social Centers

A photo sheet (code SP-1346) says the 2nd Regiment of the Republic of Korea Marine Corps has begun building community health stations in Hieu Xuong district, Phu Yen province, one of which opened at Hoa Binh village on 15 July 1966 with free treatment. Photographs show a Korean doctor, Lee Jung Woo, treating villagers, a crowd waiting, and a brick station under construction. The sheet shows allied troops in a medical and building role and says the stations also serve as a place for villagers and soldiers to talk and build understanding.
