# La Fayette, we are here... again!

Three helmeted infantrymen with fixed bayonets wade ashore toward a shoreline marked 'FRANCE', their haversacks bearing a Union Jack, the U.S. flag and a third flag partly shown; one raises his rifle and calls 'La Fayette, we are here... ...Again!' The cartoon borrows the 1917 'Lafayette, we are here' phrase and applies it to a second landing, a transfer of the earlier episode's meaning to the present one.
