# Après les fameuses révélations de M. Cavaignac (After M. Cavaignac's Famous Revelations), Le Sifflet, 14 July 1898

Full-page lithograph cartoon on the cover of a satirical weekly: a nude female figure standing at a well, the traditional allegory of Truth, holds out a hand mirror to a slumped, uniformed commandant with a medal on his chest, who covers his face. The allegory carries the prestige of the national and classical figure of Truth over to one side's reading of events and shows the opposing officer cowering in front of it; no argument is stated beyond the title and the single caption 'Que ça!...'.
