# Magsaysay Award poster No. 4: Bhave, Rutnam, Brotherhood (English poster distributed in Manila)

Fourth sheet of the Free World supplement on the Ramon Magsaysay Award. It finishes the selection text (five awards a year of $10,000 each, presented in Manila on 31 August) and shows Acharya V. Bhave (Community Leadership), Mary Rutnam (Public Service) and the civic group 'Operation Brotherhood' (International Understanding), each with a citation. The tell is transfer: the award's prestige is attached to each honoree, with praise words ('exemplary', 'compassionate').

SUPPLEMENT TO Free World VOLUME VII Nº11 NOVEMBER 1958 4

the land to have fuller opportunities and a better life; JOURNALISM AND LITERATURE -- effective writing and publishing as a power for public good. The awards are open to persons in the Republic of the Philippines and in other countries of Asia, regardless of race, creed, sex or nationality. There shall be a maximum of five awards each year in the amount of $10,000.00 each. The award shall be presentd at a ceremony to be held each year in Manila on August 31st, the anniversary of the birth of the late Ramon Magsaysay.
