# Margie poster SP no. 1

Colour poster in the 'Margie' series of letters to soldiers: a close portrait of a woman with a pen in her raised hand, resting her cheek on it. A handwritten note signed 'Margie' urges the reader to save pay, with a printed checklist of soldiers' deposits, transfer accounts, allotments, War Bonds and insurance. The tell is the girl-at-home voice (plain-folks), with homecoming scenes attached to saving (transfer).

the home of your own
you've always dreamed
of. Of course waiting
is hard-- don't I
know!-- but you
can start building
right now, wherever
you are, by putting
aside money every pay
day-- much better
than just laying a
foundation of star-
dust.
Love,
Margie
